Abhinav Chauhan · Solidity DeveloperA CONTINUOUS EVOLUTION

From building interfaces
to building on Ethereum.

I started with React, grew into full-stack development, and found my direction in Ethereum. Today, I’m focused on building practical Ethereum applications with secure, well-tested smart contracts.

Milestone-based escrow

ProofPay/01

What it does: A freelance escrow application built around milestone payments and clear dispute handling.

What I built

  • Client, freelancer, and arbitrator workflows for milestone payments, cancellation, and disputes.
  • Solidity smart contracts tested with Foundry, including unit and invariant tests covering escrow state changes and payment flows.
  • A backend built with Node.js, Express, TypeScript, and MongoDB.

Technical focus

Escrow state transitions, payment flows, access control, and smart contract testing.

NexPay/02

What it does: A crypto payment application that lets users send and swap tokens through plain-English commands, with confirmation before execution.

What I built

  • Natural-language payment and swap instructions, wallet authentication, and saved contacts.
  • Uniswap V3 swap quotes on Sepolia.
  • Backend work using Fastify, TypeScript, and Groq Llama.

Technical focus

Connecting natural-language commands to explicit, user-confirmed transaction flows.

Earlier web development work

Applications I contributed to through professional work.

How I found my direction.

My path into Web3 started with building web applications, then asking bigger questions about the systems behind them.

CHAPTER 012024

Starting with the frontend

In February 2024, during the final year of my B.Sc. in Computer Science, I joined Kickr Technology as a React.js Developer. Over the next ten months, I worked on real client applications and learned how to turn requirements into usable interfaces.

I contributed to the frontend of Chalo Ghoomne, worked on a video chat application, and built the UI for a trading application. Alongside my frontend work, I started strengthening my backend skills.

CHAPTER 022025

Taking on the full stack

As my backend skills developed, I wanted an opportunity to work across an entire application. I joined AlgoDox as a Full Stack Developer and spent 2025 building with React and Node.js.

I worked on applications for travel, car rental, and a packaged water business, along with admin panels for managing content, bookings, enquiries, and user data. It gave me practical experience connecting the interface, backend, and database.

CHAPTER 03The turning point

Discovering Web3

Conversations with senior mentors introduced me to decentralization, tokenization, real-world assets, and smart contracts. I became curious about how these ideas worked beneath the surface.

I read the Bitcoin and Ethereum white papers and explored publicly available blockchain and cryptocurrency lectures from Stanford and MIT on YouTube. The more I learned, the more I wanted to build in this field.

CHAPTER 042026

Making a deliberate career change

At the end of 2025, I left my full-stack role to focus on Web3. I wanted to give Solidity and Ethereum the time and attention they needed.

As I studied more seriously, I began looking for a structured program that would take me deeper into smart contract development. That search led me to the Advanced Solidity Bootcamp at RareSkills with Jeffrey Scholz.

CHAPTER 05Going deeper

Beyond Solidity syntax

From February to July 2026, I studied Solidity, EVM internals, Foundry, and mathematics through the RareSkills bootcamp.

I explored contract interactions, staking, vaults, lending protocols, and Uniswap in depth, along with the security considerations involved in building these systems. I then continued with courses in gas optimization and Assembly and Yul.

Topics studied

  • Contract interactions and EVM execution
  • Mathematics for smart contract development
  • Staking and vault accounting
  • Lending protocol mechanics
  • Uniswap and AMM fundamentals
  • Smart contract security practices
  • Foundry
  • Gas optimization
  • Assembly and Yul

CHAPTER 06Now

Applying what I have learned

I’m currently a Web3 intern at QuillHash, building projects and continuing to develop my understanding of smart contract security.

My focus is on applying what I have learned: building practical applications, testing their behavior, and understanding how they can fail.

My frontend and full-stack experience helps me see the complete application. Solidity has given me a new layer to understand and build.
